At our school, we believe that learning a language opens the door to new cultures, experiences and ways of thinking. At Roe Farm we have chosen to focus on French. Through our French curriculum, pupils in KS2 develop their confidence in listening, speaking, reading and writing in French. Lessons are engaging, practical and age-appropriate, giving children opportunities to learn and use new vocabulary through songs, games, stories, conversations and real-life contexts. As pupils progress through school, they build on their knowledge and develop an understanding of French culture and traditions, while becoming increasingly confident and enthusiastic language learners.
