Relationships and Health Education

At Roe Farm, we want all children to grow up healthy, happy, safe and with the resilience needed to face what ever challenges they may encounter in life.  We want all of our children to have the confidence to grasp all opportunities that they may be presented with and to find the best in themselves, each other and all situations.

Our Relationships, Health and Sex Education (RHSE) is delivered through the Kapow Primary scheme for PSHE and RSE, which provides a structured and progressive curriculum taught weekly across all year groups. In addition to this, our motto and values are embedded throughout all aspects of school life, ensuring that pupils consistently develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to thrive.

The Kapow Primary PSHE and RSE scheme covers a broad and progressive range of themes, including:

  • Families and relationships

  • Health and wellbeing

  • Safety and the changing body

  • Citizenship

  • Economic wellbeing

The ‘Safety and the changing body’ unit includes elements of Sex Education. Please click the link below to read any information on this aspect.
