"Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind,
flight to the imagination and life to everything."

Music has so many benefits for children and adults alike from helping with behaviour and confidence to encouraging creativity and learning skills that can be used across many subjects. Not only can music help with brain development, it has numerous mental health benefits including as a stress reliever.
At Roe Farm we have adopted the Charanga music scheme and work with the Derbyshire Music Partnership to provide brass instrumental lessons in Year 4 which can be continued via peripatetic music lessons in Years 5 and 6. Each half term, a focus composer is used to further enhance our understanding and appreciation of music throughout history.
