School Day
Foundation 1 (Nursery)
Pupils attend either the morning session or the afternoon session.
Morning Session: 8:55am - 11:55pm
Afternoon Session: 12:15pm - 3:15pm
Foundation 2 - Year 6
Morning Lessons: 8:55am - 12:00pm
Lunch Time: 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Afternoon Lessons: 1:00pm - 3:15pm
Should you wish to or need to talk to your child’s teacher, they are available each morning on both playgrounds. We strongly advise parents to ensure there is parental or adult supervision for children coming to and home from school. Please inform us if someone different is collecting your child.
On days when the weather is very bad, children can come into their classrooms when informed by a teacher.
Please note that we openly welcome, encourage and expect Foundations Stage 1 children to come in to their classrooms with their parents. Parents can then settle their child in and speak with the class teachers about their child.
Home Time Arrangements
The safety of our young people is of paramount importance to us and we will ensure that pupils are safe and secure at all times.
Therefore, we will only release children into the care of individuals named by parents. If someone unknown to us arrives to collect your child, we will not let them go. Please inform us before hand if someone different is collecting your child.
We will only allow Key Stage 2 children (years 3-6) to walk home alone if you have instructed us.
Breakfast Club
7:45am - 8:55am
Breakfast is an important meal and sets children up well for a full day of learning. It fuels the body and gets the brain thinking in order for children to concentrate more readily.
In school, we offer a breakfast club each morning.
Breakfast is served from 8.00am for children at a cost of £1.50 per day. Children are offered a selection of cereals, toast, yoghurt and fruit.
From 8.20am – 8.50am structured activities and games are prepared for children to get involved in, either within the school Hall or the Gym. These activities are led by Teaching Assistants employed in school.
